Terms of Service

alltop is a news-aggregation service. We crawl public RSS feeds and websites, cluster related stories, rank them using editorial heuristics and AI, and present them to you. We do not host the underlying articles — each link takes you to the original publisher. Opinions, facts, and accuracy in linked articles are the responsibility of the publisher, not alltop.

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/EEA) to use alltop. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

• Provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password and sign-in links confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Notify us promptly at hello@alltop.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• One person per account. Do not share credentials.

You can delete your account at any time, for any reason, at no cost. To do so, go to Settings and use the “Delete account” option, or email privacy@alltop.com from the address associated with your account and we will process the deletion within 30 days.

When you delete your account we permanently remove your email, display name, follows, saved items, and custom feeds within 30 days. Aggregate analytics that cannot be tied back to you may persist in our providers' systems for the retention windows listed in our Privacy Policy. Backups may persist for up to 30 additional days before being overwritten.

Deletion is irreversible. If you sign up again later you will start with a fresh account.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of any third party.
• Scrape, mirror, or systematically download content from alltop, or otherwise misuse our APIs or infrastructure.
• Attempt to probe, reverse engineer, or bypass our security controls, rate limits, or authentication.
• Submit RSS feeds or custom sources that host malware, infringe intellectual-property rights, or contain content that is unlawful, harassing, or sexually explicit involving minors.
• Impersonate another person or falsely represent your affiliation with any entity.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers or networks connected to it.
• Use automated means (bots, crawlers, headless browsers) to access the Service, except for well-behaved RSS readers that respect our rate limits.

Third-party content. Articles, images, and summaries from publishers remain the property of those publishers. alltop displays headlines, short excerpts, and links under fair-use principles. If you are a publisher and want your content removed, email hello@alltop.com.

AI-generated content. Editorial headlines, story summaries, and cluster labels shown on alltop are generated by AI from public sources. They may contain errors. Always verify important facts by reading the original article.

Your content. If you submit custom RSS URLs or other inputs, you grant alltop a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have the right to submit them.

alltop, the wordmark, the user interface, the ranking algorithms, and all related materials are owned by Ocean View Marketing and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you a license to those assets except to use the Service as intended.

alltop is free today. If we introduce paid plans we will show the price and terms before you pay. Paid features may be subject to additional terms referenced at the point of purchase.

By creating an account you consent to receive transactional emails required to operate your account (magic links, password resets, security alerts). Marketing emails and digests are opt-in and can be turned off at any time in Settings or via the unsubscribe link in any such email.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. We will try to notify you before taking action unless urgency or law prevents it. You may terminate your account at any time as described in Section 4.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of ranked or AI-generated content. Your use is at your own risk.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any particular article, source, or topic will be available at any particular time.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ocean View Marketing and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) USD $50 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ocean View Marketing from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (i) your use of the Service, (ii) your violation of these Terms, or (iii) content you submit.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any competent court.

If you reside in a jurisdiction whose consumer-protection laws grant you non-waivable rights, those rights apply notwithstanding the above.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will post a notice on the site and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with the new Terms, stop using the Service and delete your account.

• These Terms plus the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
• If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
• Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.
• You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or a successor in a merger or acquisition.
