Who doesn’t love a book or article with pictures?
From our earliest years, we’re drawn to visual images, and we continue that fascination through adulthood with infographics, memes, inspirational quotes set on beautiful vistas, so it isn’t surprising that researchers for decades have missed the cave messages written in plain sight sitting right next to the pretty pictures.
In this TED talk, paleoanthropologist and rock art researcher Genevieve von Petzinger explains how she discovered a fascinating means of communication used across southern Europe during the Ice Age.
