It’s a cross between Newfoundland, St. Bernard, and a Pyrenean Mountain Dog. The males of the breed can hit 170 pounds. They almost went extinct after WWII, but they’re back now.
See more rare breeds, like the Mexican Hairless, the Brussels Griffon (which looks like its name), and the New Guinea Singing Dog––a dog that lives in such remote places that you’ll probably never see one or hear one singing with its friends.

Ummm, yeah. Never heard of them UNLESS YOU WATCH A DOG SHOW. At least 20 of the breeds are much more commonly recognizable then the obviously sheltered writer. Not to mention the fact that the President of the U.S. has two Portuguese Water Dogs. Research. It’s what real journalists do.
