Too often, staff meetings are tedious and repetitive. Scott Elbin from the Elbin Goup offers a different way to run a meeting. Instead of the usual way, in which the executive starts things off by reviewing the agenda and directing the employees from there, Elbin suggests revering the order. The reports should start the meeting by sharing what their peers need to know, asking for information they themselves might need to know, and then giving a status report on major projects. That way, the manager can offer advice rather than micromanaging.
