Tiny Arctic hamlet’s webcam and weather page logs nearly 1 million visits

Cameron Bobinski launched www.kimmirutweather.com back in 2006.
Kimmirut lies on Baffin Island’s southern coast, just north of Hudson Strait.
”I worked for [regional airline] First Air in Kimmirut for 14 years and saw how important weather is for people traveling and receiving cargo by plane.”
Bobinski has logged 966,796 to his page. His wife posts photos of the community throughout the year.
His weather cam is lodged at his house and refreshes frequently.
