Unbelievable 3D pencil drawings

There are several stages to the experience of looking at these drawings. First is disbelief. You may ask yourself such questions as, “Is this for real?” “Is that really pencil?” “How much time does this Ramon Bruin guy have on his hands?” Next will be amazement, followed quickly by another round of disbelief. But rest assured, these pictures do appear to be in 3D, but there is some trickery involved. Notice that they all have a real object in them, and they’re photographed at specific angles. Now that you know that, are you less impressed, or more impressed that a guy was able to plan out the exact object and camera angle needed to make this art 3D?

I believe, it has to do with light/shadow, and of course, know how to draw. The rest is perspective.
