Even though this video is terrifying, it’s somewhat comforting to know that a skilled pilot can land a plane with broken landing gear. Take a look at this textbook emergency landing.
Regarding the warbirds segment from Paris. a) those wars were in the 20th century; not the 19th; b) you should mention that two P-40s actually got airborne at Pearl Harbor and shot down some Japanese aircraft; c) the Department of the Air Force was not formed until 1947; therefore the P-51s did not escort any “USAF” bombers; they escorted bombers from the U. S. Army Air Forces 8th Air Force (the first time they could be escorted all the way to targets in Germany and back). Otherwise – well done!
He even jiggered the 2 props to horizontal to not hit the ground when the nose fell… bravo !!

Actually he might not had time to fool with the engines, the wind usually does that for him. The first three things he is suppose to do is, fly the plane-fly the planer -fly the plane …….He did a great job doing that!
