Every visual effects Oscar winner ever
Posted by Josh Taylor / February 8, 2018Since 1929, the Academy Awards have celebrated the best visual effects in a film every year. In the beginning, of course, those effects were little more than a moving background behind a car or a plane to give the impression of speed and movement. Later, effects get more complicated––see “The War of the Worlds” for example, which is far behind modern effects but still significantly better than the earliest examples of visual effects.
