The lovely ladies of NYC circa 1944
Posted by staff / June 11, 2012There’s something about New York City that brings out the beautiful in women, and it appears nothing has changed since 1944 when Alfred Eisenstaedt took these shots for Life Magazine. Windblown and natural, it’s easy to see why so many soldiers in WWII couldn’t wait to head home.

interesting that so many flags are flying in each pick,ladies dressed like they just came off the front of a ship & wrapped a flag around ,fresh & free looking,just an observation of the times.
