Alternative to X-rays uses visible light
Posted by staff / October 7, 2010New research finds a way to detect images through solid surfaces using regular light. Scientists used a common green laser, a projector and and a digital camera.
“It’s like putting a flashlight behind your hand,” said Sylvain Gigan, a co-author of the recent Nature Communications and a scientist at the Institut Langevin in Paris. “You cannot see an image, but you can still see a faint glow.”
