When you take into account baggage fees, lost luggage and spending your hard-earned drink money on a lousy snack pack, ya gotta wonder what happened to “flying the friendly skies.” With some air carriers even considering standing room options, it might be worthwhile to take a look at which carriers made the top five worst list according to the Airline Quality Rating (AQR) Report.

5. US Airways

Despite a supposed five percent rise in customer satisfaction according to one source, their rating is still being dragged down by rude flight attendants and crap food.

4. American Airlines

American Eagle, its regional carrier, is a big downer for this airline’s rating, but their poor baggage handling, rude staff and lousy food also put American in the bottom five.

3. Alaska Airlines

The biggest problems for Alaska Airlines are their mishandling of baggage and poor record of delays. Such a big state, so many issues.
