Human milk from a cow’s udder
Posted by staff / March 25, 2011With all the hullabaloo over breastfeeding, it looks like Chinese scientists have found a way to keep the breasts in push-up bras and low cut blouses where they belong and get the milk straight from where milk should come from: cow udders.
200 cows have been genetically modified to produce “human” milk in China, bringing to the people what was once a privilege reserved only for the highest members of society:
In ancient China, only the emperor and the empress could drink human milk throughout their lives, which was believed to be the height of opulence. Why not make that kind of milk more available for ordinary people?
Or just pay a few of the one billion-plus ordinary people to make it? This is truly the strangest case of outsourcing ever conceived by a human mind.
