Study shows carnal attraction still follows gender stereotypes
Posted by staff / May 28, 2011When it comes to first impressions, it looks like traditional gender roles take the top spot in determining what’s attractive to the opposite sex.
A study out of the University of British Columbia examined what trait heterosexual men and women ranked as most desirable, the choices being happy, proud, ashamed and neutral. Women ranked proud, confident men highest, while men preferred women who smiled over proud-looking women. Oddly enough, the ashamed pose appealed to both men and women, and researchers assume it’s because such an attitude displays a respect for social norms.
At least all you guys out there looking for a sugar mama know what she’s looking for, and the rest of us now understand that whole Demi Moore/Ashton Kutcher relationship a bit better.
