The future means different things to different people, and that affects both individual priorities and corporate strategic decisions, Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt says in this Big Think video. For a contract worker, the future can be measured in weeks; other workers may think in terms of how far they are from bonus season; and owners and investors may take a much longer-term view of the future. “That’s feedback back to you of how their systems work. I’m not saying it’s bad; I’m saying it helps you understand,” Schmidt says.
