Booty boxers give men an extra boost
Posted by staff / January 21, 2011If a barely-there bottom has been the bane of your existence, boys, then the BottomsUp brief is the undie for you.
For the low, low price of $39.99 a pair, men can opt for sizes such as “Quarterback,” “Halfback,” and “Fullback” as their confidence (and make-believe workout) grows.
The padded underwear isn’t just for the man looking to pack more junk in the trunk, though; those who travel, suffer muscle loss, or are looking for a easily-portable stadium seat also turn to the brief for relief, which was the initial aim of the product, explains owner Rick Mucha:
“I designed the first pair in 2001 to help a friend of mine who had AIDS. His muscle structure was all messed up and he was really uncomfortable sitting, so I tried to create something to ease that,” he explained.
“We’ve worked with doctors who deal with veterans who have had a loss of mass due to war injuries. We’ve made custom pairs for vets and elders who need one side bigger or smaller than the other. People who’ve lost a lot of weight due to cancer or other illnesses have also used the garments to even everything out. They’re not just for looks.”
In the end, it’s all for a good cause.
