Canadian politician misses vote, blames underwear that was too tight
Posted by staff / February 21, 2015Canada was a-buzz the other day when news of a Member of Parliament (MP) was absent during a vote because “his underwear was too tight”.
This was his explanation when questioned by the Speaker of the House:
“I can blame it on a sale that was down at the Hudson’s Bay [Company] – they had men’s underwear on for half price. I bought a bunch that was clearly too small for me and I find it difficult to sit for any length of time,” he said.
It’s a pretty funny (if brief) tale.
