A Clockwork Orange and the humanity of violence
Posted by Josh Taylor / February 27, 2018A Clockwork Orange, on the surface, seems to be about a group of ultraviolent kids just doing their ultraviolence. The protagonist––or perhaps anti-hero––seems to be the worst of all of them. But this video argues that the protagonist is actually the most human of all the characters in this dystopian future because he’s the only person who is fully human. Who knows what makes him do what he does and he own its. The other characters are simply mindlessly violent and ignore their own evil.
