Thanks! I've always wanted to board this train.
Another great resource from you guys. Thanks!
Definitely going to check this out. Looking to self-publish sometime this year, and if +Guy Kawasaki has has something to say about the subject, I want to read it!
Regardless of the outcome of "Self-Publishing Revolution", it's a lesson for the well-known publishers, publishing very average books. They are not doing their job.
Consider it downloaded! So far I'm loving the 3 D's especially disintermediation. In some ways, I look at people who are in print media and other dying industries and have some compassion for their position, but if a business can't add value to the process anymore, we should accept the change in the market and act accordingly.

On it!
Thx
Grab this manifesto. It's offered via Creative Commons so share it freely. Just don't try to change it or charge for it. Guy and Shawn will go ape if you do that.
Guy knows his stuff. I read his book APE (Author, Publisher, and Entrepreneur). The whole publishing paradigm has shifted and quite frankly, the established publishers don't know how to cope with self-publishing, which of course is good for Indie Authors.
This looks like a great publication!!!! Thanks guy!!! Does anyone have advice on whether the iBook store or Amazon would be the best place to publish your first eBook?
Hi Neil Abraham. Right now it seems like Amazon is the place to be. I created a Kindle book about Lensbaby photograpy. It had lots of images, which I optimized for the 2nd gen iPad. iPad users can download the Kindle app and get a better experience reading a book with colorful images. If you publish a book for sale in the iBook store, you must purchase an ISBN number. Amazon doesn't require that. They identify the book with an ASIN (Amazon Sales Identification Number), which is free of charge to the author/publisher. Eventually I will publish a book in the iBook store, with instructional videos. Apple has a free Mac only app called iAuthor, that makes it easy to create an interactive book. When you create a Kindle book, you write it in an app like MS Word. Amazon converts it to Kindle format when you upload. If your book has images, it's a bit harder. You use an app like Adobe's InDesign to lay out the book, and then export it for Kindle.
