File this one under “stuff you don’t see every day.” The former CEO of Walmart landed a plane using a parachute after experiencing engine trouble.

Media idiots….an Cirrus plane has a parachute built into it to use in an emergency. He didn’t land the plane because once the parachute deployed you are at the mercy of the wind…
A stalled engine is not a death sentence and does not necessarily require deployment of a parachute. If there is a safe place to glide to a safe landing, then that is the preferred option. A chute is nice to have when over more unforgiving terrain.
