There are tons of historical myths floating around. You have probably heard a lot of them without knowing it. For example, it’s a myth that any alleged witches were burned in the Salem Witch Trials. In fact, most of the victims (including a dog, poor doggo) were hanged. One particularly BA older gentleman allowed himself to be crushed to death rather than speak. There are also a lot of myths out there around the Buddha––for example, he was not fat. The Buddha you see at Chinese restaurants was another one.
