“The Grey:” An underrated philosophical exploration of suffering

The Grey was not popular with audiences, but film critic Roger Ebert loved it. It was so intense that he reflected on the movie with these words: “It was the first time I’ve ever walked out of a film because of the previous film. The way I was feeling in my gut, it just wouldn’t have been fair to the next film.” What was so intense about this movie? “Like Stories of Old,” the YouTube channel, analyzes the film through the work of Holocaust survivor and author Victor Frankl, arguing that the film is an exploration of heroic suffering.
