How to foster an inspiring work environment

Even high performers will struggle in a toxic work environment. How do you make sure your work culture is inspiring the best work? Workplace Psychology has collected seven tips for creating a work environment in which employees can excel. For instance:
- Regularly take employees aside and ask them if they feel challenged, listened to, and recognized.
- Demonstrate confidence in your employees’ ability to overcome problems.
- Break down long-term assignments into clear, achievable, short-term milestones that can be celebrated when achieved.

Hire the right people to begin with. Ensure you give them the right tools to work. Ensure you don’t hire unless you absolutely must so your new hires won’t be sitting idle. If you do this, there is no hand holding required.
