How will computers evolve over the next 100 years?
Posted by staff / April 5, 2010Technology improved at a very rapid pace in the 20th and 21st centuries. Once as large as a room, computers can now be found almost anywhere. So how will our computing devices change in the next century?
Assuming microprocessor manufacturers can continue to live up to Moore’s Law, the processing power of our computers should double every two years. That would mean computers100 years from now would be 33,554,432 times more powerful than the current models. That’s hard to imagine.
