Why incompetent people think they’re they awesome

Do you know anyone who just…well, there’s no way to say it…sucks? As in, they’re really not good at what they do, and they’re so bad at what they do that they don’t even realize that they’re bad at it! Well, don’t worry, you’re not alone in knowing that person. There are lots of incompetent people who don’t know they’re bad. As it turns out, it’s a known psychological phenomenon. It happens precisely because those people are incompetent: they don’t even know that they’re bad at what they do because they lack the skill.
