TIME recently published an incredibly disheartening look into the lives of the many women of Afghanistan who live under constant Taliban threat. Inside TIME‘s coverage, readers can find an incredibly powerful image series by photographer Jodi Bieber, along with the dark, eye-opening story of Aisha, an eighteen-year-old woman who was sentenced by a taliban commander to have her nose and ears cut off for fleeing her abusive in-laws. In an attempt to shed light on the plight of women like her, she bravely posed for the magazine’s latest cover.

This same danger is global. When you research Islam/Shar’iah (or Sharia) law, you will find the Taliban is simply practicing what they have been taught, and what is being promoted by many radical Mullah’s around the world.
