Sneak peak at Team USA’s opening ceremony outfits
Posted by staff / February 2, 2010Can we get a U-S-A! U-S-A! chant for no more berets on Team USA? Thank you, Ralph Lauren for putting to rest the beret trend that we’ve seen for the past couple Olympic games.
David Lauren, senior vice president of Polo Ralph Lauren, debuted the Opening Ceremony look on Tuesday’s Today Show and, thankfully, there were no berets, cowboy hats or fedoras in sight. The down jacket, sweater turtleneck, and white trousers outfit certainly isn’t a “miracle on ice” (eh? eh?) with a Polo logo dwarfing both the American flag and “USA,” but it could be worse. Also, those white pants won’t look terribly flattering on everyone (curling dudes, looking at you).
What do you think of the red-white-and-blue look?

Oh, and the jackets are hideous.
