“Athletes are not the only people who compete in Sochi,” anti-corruption activist Alexei Navalny said this week. “Officials and businessmen also took part in the Games and turned them into a source of income.” He was speaking as he launched an interactive website — Sochi.FBK.info — detailing the costs and alleged corruption surrounding the construction of the Sochi Olympics. The Games are estimated to cost $51-billion, although Russian President Vladimir Putin has put the figure at $7-billion.
