Even some former founders or early employees of Facebook have commented on this. So while it may be obvious that Facebook is linked to depression, we should ask why Facebook has this effect. This video explains that Facebook use causes a dopamine hit, but often Facebook gives us information that we don’t want or care about. So there’s a major discrepancy between stimulus and feeling.

This is true, the more time I realize I spend on social, and cannot connect to anything the more I realize that I am getting sad and I need to stop what Im doing.
