Ah, the Apple I. The computer that started it all was hand-built in 1976 by Apple founders Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs — in Jobs’ parents’ garage. The machine was originally presented to the iconic Homebrew Computer Club in Palo Alto, Calif. Wozniak insisted on an initial price of $666.66 for the bare-bones machine because he liked “repeating digits.” Now, with only 50 in existence, a working Apple I can fetch upwards of $120,000.
