Vegas at the mercy of the “Vdara Death Ray”
Posted by staff / September 30, 2010That rosy glow on the cheeks of Las Vegas’ Vdara Hotel & Spa’s architect isn’t a sunburn, but blushing at the slight oversight that made the luxury resort home of what employees call the “Vdara Death Ray.” At a certain time of day, the toasty rays of sun that usually send visitors running poolside when they’re not drinking free liquor at the slots bounce off one of the hotel’s buildings in such a way as to create a burning hot ray that lands right on the pool area. Just imagine waking up from a nap after being zapped by a 160 degree sun beam. You’d better hope that bikini wasn’t made out of synthetic materials
