24 fake Microsoft call center scammers arrested in India

Microsoft scam callers are famous internet-wide. For too long, these scammers went unpunished. But Microsoft of India filed a complaint against the fake call centers, accusing them of generating fake popups that would tell victims that they need service. They charged between $100 and $500 for their services. Ten call centers were identified using this practice, and twenty-four people were arrested, including owners and team leaders, were arrested for their part in the scams. Further investigation is underway.
