North and South Korea to remove mines from DMZ
Posted by Josh Taylor / October 3, 2018Since the Korean War, the demilitarized zone (DMZ) has been a no-man’s land filled with mines, corpses, and misery. But following the thawing of tensions between the two countries, there is a glimmer of hope that the DMZ will not be quite as . horrific as it once was. The two Koreas have agreed to begin removing landmines from the DMZ. They face some challenges though. They are understaffed and they lack equipment, but this is still a start.
