It reminds you of “Flight of the Conchords,” a hilarious show that you should go watch right now. But that’s not the only reason this channel is funny. “Dad” pretty well encapsulates the daily struggles of raising kids; in this case, taking them out to restaurants while they’re in their terrible twos or “threenagers.”

This video tells the story of the nearly three-hundred-year-old tradition. Townspeople believe that the hum of the kites is the spirits communicating with the living.

Why not? Take a look at the title image of this post. That creepy looking mushroom thing is actually what happens when mercury meets aluminum: they react unceasingly until the mercury evaporates or the aluminum is gone. So if mercury touches the aluminum of the airplane, it will gradually destroy the plane.

It was a sketch comedy bit, and it definitely pushed the limits of appropriate prime time humor. It was a pretty funny show, but it totally bombed. Why? It was right after Home Improvement––a totally family-friendly TV show. The moment Dana Carvey’s show came on, families turned the channel.
