Read MoreWhat made Freddie Mercury’s voice so amazing
Posted by Josh Taylor / November 21, 2017Any classic rock fan knows that Freddie Mercury had one of the best voices of all time. But even if you’re not a classic rock fan, you have to admit that the man had a glorious set of pipes. But what made his voice so good? Posted by Josh Taylor / November 21, 2017You might remember watching a video from your high school physics class of a singer belting out a high note and breaking a wine glass. Even though it seems like only a professional can do something like that, it’s not the case. You can break a glass right now if you wanted to, using only your voice. The only trouble is you have to be pretty loud and the glass would need to be right next to your face. That’s actually a terrible idea, so don’t do that. If you have a little microphone and amp set up, though, you can easily do it.

Street skating and all the accompanying tricks––ollies, kick flips, and so on––wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for Rodney Mullen’s obsessive skating. According to legend, he practiced nine or so hours a day, sometimes practicing all nights. He would constantly teach himself new tricks to demonstrate to skaters around the country, thus growing the sport.

Except for this star. Not only is it substantially brighter than most stars like it, but it seems to have exploded (again, much brighter than other stars its size) multiple times. If that isn’t interesting enough for you, this video also shares some recent discoveries that explain the haze over Pluto.
