Did Trump just admit that Russia won him the election?
Posted by Robert Leonard / May 31, 2019For his entire dumpster fire of a presidency, Donald Trump has been haunted by accusations that he colluded with Russia to sway the 2016 election in his favor. He has, of course, denied those allegations––and in the process he obstructed justice. But did he just finally admit that the his own merit (LOL) did not win him the election? In a recent tweet, Trump indicated that he knows Russia won him the election.
These are the tweets in question, with the relevant parts in bold: “Russia, Russia, Russia! That’s all you heard at the beginning of this Witch Hunt Hoax…And now Russia has disappeared because I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected. It was a crime that didn’t exist. So now the Dems and their partner, the Fake News Media say he fought back against this phony crime that didn’t exist, this horrendous false accusation, and he shouldn’t fight back, he should just sit back and take it. Could this be Obstruction? No, Mueller didn’t find Obstruction either. Presidential Harassment!”
Trump is right: Russia, Russia, Russia! That is all we hear about his presidency. There’s a saying that comes to mind: where there’s smoke, there’s fire. All of the talk about Russia may not prove collusion, of course, but it does point to the fact that we all need to be very, very concerned with Russia––especially because they’re already meddling in the 2020 election.
