North and South Korea to remove mines from DMZ
Posted by Josh Taylor / October 3, 2018Since the Korean War, the demilitarized zone (DMZ) has been a no-man’s land filled with mines, corpses, and misery. But following the thawing of tensions between the two countries, there is a glimmer of hope that the DMZ will not be quite as . horrific as it once was. The two Koreas have agreed to begin removing landmines from the DMZ. They face some challenges though. They are understaffed and they lack equipment, but this is still a start.

Almost no one––besides those who stand to benefit financially, of course–– supported this move, and states immediately began crafting their own replacement laws. California’s was the toughest, and Governor Jerry Brown just signed that bill into law. The Trump administration almost immediately announced that it would sue California over the law.

That means it has no known medical potential, is potentially very harmful, and addictive. But a group of researchers at Johns Hopkins are arguing against the classification. But don’t get your hopes up. According to one of the researchers, “We want to initiate the conversation now as to how to classify psilocybin to facilitate its path to the clinic and minimize logistical hurdles in the future.” In other words, the goal is not to get shrooms into the hands of patients, but to make it easier for medical practitioners to use them.

Dr. Ford testified what Kavanaugh allegedly did to her. Kavanaugh defended himself. It was a case of he-said, she-said. That was because the Senate designed it that way. This John Oliver segment makes a convincing case for abandoning Kavanaugh as a Supreme Court nominee. It further makes the case that he is only still a nominee as an attempt to spite Democrats.

But the Death Comet has already made a pass by earth, back in October 2015, and that time it was much closer to earth. Now, it will pass by 25 million miles from earth. “Scientists have said there’s no chance of it actually striking the planet, however, and it is expected to pass Earth at an even greater distance when it passes again in 2088.”

The accuser, a Las Vegas native, claims that she met Renaldo in a Las Vegas night club nine years ago. The two went to his penthouse where he allegedly anally raped her and apologized. From the article, “In January 2010, Mayorga and Ronaldo agreed a $375,000 settlement in which she agreed to drop all charges in exchange for the payment.” She ha a new lawyer who questioned the legality of that settlement.

His best option, he thought, was to sell his belongings. But he didn’t count on David Dunkleberger and Ed Sheets, two friends who stopped to check out Davis’s yard sale. When they heard Davis’s story, they set up a GoFundMe page with a $6,000 goal. As of this writing, nearly $58,000 have been donated. The men, with the help of GoFundMe, plan to use the extra money to help vets in similar situations. So if you want to thank a vet for his or her service, here’s an easy way.
