He didn’t know it was worth anything, but he figured it might be worth checking into. Hey, maybe he’d win a few bucks? Well, he won more than a few bucks. It was 1,750,000 bucks. “De Santis said his heart almost stopped when he realized he was suddenly a millionaire. He credits the unexpected win to his sister. He was still in shock during his visit to Loto-Québec on Friday to collect his cheque.”

But Microsoft of India filed a complaint against the fake call centers, accusing them of generating fake popups that would tell victims that they need service. They charged between $100 and $500 for their services. Ten call centers were identified using this practice, and twenty-four people were arrested, including owners and team leaders, were arrested for their part in the scams. Further investigation is underway.

As you might suspect, it has not been shrinking of its own accord. Rather, the Soviets began diverting water from the lake to irrigate cotton, a program designed to pump money into the Soviet economy. But in true Soviet style, the irrigation projects were poorly run and totally inefficient, and tremendous amounts of water were wasted.

A few months ago, Musk promised to help do something about the water problem that continues to plague Flint, Michigan. From the article,
Musk has also called on residents to email their lead test results and offered in another tweet to “organize a weekend in Flint to add filters to those houses with issues & hopefully fix the perception of those that are actually good.”

If true, this is a major victory for the tiger and for the government of Nepal, since in 2009 there were only 121 tigers in the jungles of Nepal. Now, there are 235. The government claims that the increase is the result of “initiatives from the government, conservationists and local authorities who have worked for years to increase the tiger population in the Himalayan nation.”
